Theta Foundation is committed to helping Theta’s leading women achieve their dreams and make a difference in the world through our scholarship program. We are excited to announce our 2016 Scholarship Application is now available!

Collegian and alumnae members of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity are eligible to apply for Theta Foundation scholarships to support undergraduate and graduate study. The minimum scholarship award is $1,000, and funding will be awarded for use in the following academic year toward tuition, course-related fees, and required textbooks and supplies. Theta membership dues are not an eligible academic expense.

Theta Foundation's 2017 Scholarship Application is now available! Theta collegians and alumnae who will pursue undergraduate or graduate study during the 2017-18 academic year are eligible to apply. Theta Foundation scholarships cannot support membership dues.

The deadline for the 2017 Scholarship Application (for scholarships awarded for the 2017-18 Academic Year) is Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Washington DC Panhellenic Scholarship

The Alumnae Panhellenic Association of Washington, DC will award scholarships
for the 2017-2018 academic year to qualified applicants. This past year, the Association
awarded two scholarships of $1200 each. We hope to award at least the same amount
of money this year, and reserve the right to determine how many scholarships will be
awarded and in what amount.

The applicant eligibility criteria are as follows: (1) Member in good standing of a
fully participating sorority of the National Panhellenic Conference; (2) Rising
sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in fall 2017; and (3) From the
Washington, D.C. metropolitan area or attending school in the Washington, DC
metropolitan area. Applications must be received by March 31, 2017 and no late
applications will be considered.


Scholarship recipients will be chosen at the Association’s discretion, based on a
combination of scholarship merit and the quality of the application, short essay and
recommendation. Incomplete applications or those not in compliance with the
instructions provided may be discarded at the Association’s discretion. Recipients will
be notified by April 15, 2017. Please send questions to dcalumnaepanhellenic@gmail.com.

Upon selection of award winners, all applications and enclosures will be
destroyed. Winners will be invited to attend the Annual DC Alumnae Panhellenic Award
reception at the home of one of our members on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
